Your kitchen is one of the most important rooms in your house. You spend much time in it every day, and if designed correctly, it adds elegance and comfort to your place. The perfect kitchen design also gives you ease of access to every cabinet and appliance and keeps your kitchen organized.

Here are 10 tips from our design experts on how to make the perfect design for your kitchen:

1- The Kitchen Work Triangle: the cook top, the refrigerator, and the sink should be on different points in your kitchen that make an imaginary triangle between them. This concept guarantees the ease of access, and the efficient use of your kitchen space.

6-  Plan a space for doors  to make sure cabinets’ and appliances’ doors won’t bang at each other if opened at the same time.

7- Choose the Color of your Cabinets – This depends on where the kitchen is located and the amount of sunlight it receives. If you have an open kitchen, you need to consider how it will look with the dining area and the living room, and choose the colors accordingly. You don’t have to use one color for all the kitchen cabinets, you can explore with 2 or 3 colors.

8-  Pick the right type of paint for your kitchen cabinets – Would you choose a glossy, matt, or stained finish? this depends on the style of your house; if your house is modern, then glossy and matt would be good choices. If you have a classic house, then it would be best to choose a stain paint.

9- Choose the kitchen Countertop  – Make sure you have a space to cut and prepare food, and also space close to the cook to place  hot dishes. You also need to think about the material you want to use for the countertop; there are many materials to choose from, such as wood, marble, quartz, Corian, and granite. Although wooden countertops look nice, they are not practical to use for cutting and won’t withstand hot dishes. Marble is also a good option but its color tends to fade and it can  get cracked on the long run. Quartz and Corian do not offer the best quality. Granite is always the best option, in addition to it’s glamorous look, it is also the most durable and practical among other materials.
